Dice Throne Nexus Kickstarter Oct 13 — Snyper, Punch-a-Tron & Ghostrunner Preview

Dice Throne Nexus hits Kickstarter October 13 with technofantasy heroes Snyper, Punch-a-Tron 3000, and Ghostrunner. Compatible with your existing Heroes — borrow Season 2 and X-Men at Rift Vault Olongapo.

Dice Throne is plugging into a new corner of its universe. Dice Throne Nexus is the next crowdfunding campaign from the team behind Season 1, Season 2, Adventures, and Marvel Dice Throne — and the Kickstarter opens October 13, 2026.

Nexus is pitched as a technofantasy set: cybernetics and code instead of pure swords-and-sorcery, with four new Heroes that stay compatible with the characters you already own. If your shelf already has Barbarian, Moon Elf, or an X-Men box, Nexus is additive — not a reboot.

The three Heroes revealed so far

Snyper — run-and-gun assassin. Early coverage describes a mill-and-ricochet kit: bounce off the top of her deck, turn card cost into damage, and use Intel tokens to dig for the right follow-up. Precision pressure, not face-tanking.

Punch-a-Tron 3000 — hulking robot brawler. The straightforward smash hero of the set: big hits, simple reads, and a chassis built to trade.

Ghostrunner — dimension-hopping speedster (revealed late September). Ghost Step tokens fuel offense; at four tokens, extra modes open up (damage reduction, die manipulation, rerolls). The counterplay is denying the token ramp before the kit snowballs.

One Hero is still under wraps ahead of launch. Expect more trailers and board peeks as October 13 approaches.

Why Kickstarter again?

In their September 24, 2026 company update, Dice Throne said they’re sticking with Kickstarter as community tradition — not because production needs a bailout. Priorities called out for Nexus: faster fulfillment lessons from Vanguard, backers first, special upgrades, and strong pricing. Promo cards are shifting toward earned/gifted channels (OP, conventions, community) rather than direct retail fillers — worth knowing if you care about chase vs play.

At Rift Vault

While you wait for Nexus, the shop floor is stocked with Heroes you can buy or borrow for open play:

For Learn / Open Play nights we still keep full Season 2 heroes in-house to borrow, plus X-Men (Cyclops, Rogue, Gambit, Jean Grey) — perfect for teaching the dice-and-board loop before you decide what to back on October 13.

Ask the counter about the next Dice Throne open play slot, and we’ll help you pick a Hero that matches how you like to roll.
